The water problem between Iraq and Turkey is one of the international problems that the two countries have not reached a final solution to, despite the conclusion of many bilateral treaties and agreements between the two neighboring countries. Sometimes Turkey takes the water issue towards Iraq for its political benefit, and sometimes Turkey takes it for its economic benefit, and considers that the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers are important. Two Turkish rivers because their sources are in Turkish territory. Turkey used this as a pressure card towards successive governments against Iraq.
