Abstract

Zoroastrianism is considered part of the cultural and historical identity of Iranian society - because historical truth is a social truth that we accept or hate. The Zoroastrian religion occupied an important space in the history of the ancient East, not only because its appearance was considered the first positive religion among the Aryan and world religions, but also because scholars added to it. History is full of important contents and concepts, full of praise for honesty and truth, which are considered among the best good things - according to their opinion - but they are varied and ambiguous at times, especially with regard to the concept of the sacred and its nature. However, despite the many studies on that religion, its nature and the problems that accompanied it, there are important aspects of it that still require study, research and investigation, and from this standpoint came our study of “Customs and Traditions of Marriage and Divorce in the Zoroastrian Religion” in order to explore some aspects of that religion, document its facts, and search for contradictions in it.
