Abstract

The theory of Shari'a objectives plays a fundamental role in protecting Islamic heritage, helping to derive rulings that balance the preservation of Islamic identity with adapting to modern challenges. According to some studies, the deductive effects of this theory on the protection of Islamic heritage can be summarized as follows:

 1-Preserving essentials: Islamic heritage is considered one of the five essentials that Shari'a seeks to preserve, such as religion and reason, which necessitates the enactment of legislation to protect it from extinction.

2-Adapting to new developments: The theory of objectives allows for the development of modern methods for heritage protection, such as the use of digital technology to document Islamic manuscripts.

3- Balance between authenticity and modernization Shari'a objectives help find a compromise between preserving heritage in its original form and modernizing it to make it more usable in the modern era.

4- Legal legislation: Deriving rulings from Shari'a objectives contributes to the enactment of laws that protect Islamic heritage from encroachment or neglect, both locally and internationally.
