Abstract

This research was concerned with studying the negative repercussions of the decline in monetary issuance in the second Abbasid era (247-656 AH/ 861-1258 AD), and the negative effects it left on the areas of public life in that era. The research came in two sections. The first section was concerned with studying monetary issuance, its origin and development from ancient times until the end of the Abbasid era, while the second section was concerned with studying the negative effects of the decline in monetary issuance on public life in the second Abbasid era (247-656 AH/ 861-1258 AD), and the negative repercussions it left on the political, security, economic, religious and social aspects.
