Abstract

       This research aims to study the relationship between the geographical distribution of paved transport roads and the field distribution of fuel filling stations in Najaf Governorate using geographic information systems To determine the relationship in its distribution and evaluate its efficiency and regularity based on the results of spatial statistical analysis by applying the criteria of neighborhood connection, standard distance, and distributional trend Allocation areas (Thyssen polygon) and determining the distribution patterns of fuel stations at the level of administrative units, population density, and the type of paved transport roads, The study relied on the descriptive approach in describing the transportation methods and locations of fuel stations, in addition to adopting the analytical approach by following statistical methods to analyze all data, The study focused on the role of geographic information systems in spatial statistical analysis patterns and the relationship between the size of the place and the transportation network and the optimal distribution of the number of fuel stations in each administrative unit, and then conclusions and proposals are made.
