Abstract

The Qur’an cannot convey or depict a vivid visual image of the events and accounts contained within its pages.

Thus, the uniqueness of the Qur’anic text lies in its ability to communicate these events and accounts to the recipient through its own distinctive structure, employing words carefully chosen to portray such scenes in a conceptual (sensory) manner.

Every addition in wording corresponds to an addition in meaning. This is what the study addresses, as it selects a model of terms employed in the Qur’an and explores their significance on the morphological and semantic levels, in order to arrive at a deeper cognitive understanding of the structure of the Qur’anic text.
