Women and their rights were subject to the political developments and intellectual currents that the world witnessed at the beginning of the twentieth century. These rights varied from one country to another depending on the philosophy that led this country. With the end of the Ottoman Caliphate in Turkey and the transformation of its Political system became secular, the status of Turkish women changed. The new regime promised the issue of liberating them from the legacy of the past part of its philosophy and goal.
