This article is detected to the study of a very important city, namely Dura-Europos, known as Al-Salihiyah, which was built by the Seleucids in the Syrian desert on the ruins of an ancient town that was ruled by the Assyrians. This city, along with other cities such as Palmyra and Hatra, are examples of caravan cities, i.e., cities that served as rest stops for caravans crossing the desert along land routes. These city was a center of tolerance and coexistence between many ethnic groups and different religions, which we discuss in detail in the body of the research, along with its geographical location, history, religion, and the history of excavations there.
