Abstract

This study aims to reveal the places and roads that are included in history books, their levels and aesthetics, and what they carry within them of the functions of literary discourse and its historical and literary connotations. The study focused on the news that was mentioned in the book of Al-Nour Al-Safir fi AkhbarAl-Qarn Al-Asher “The Unveiling Light in the News of the Tenth Century” by Al-Aidarous, and the study adopts the descriptive and analytical approach to achieve its goals. The study is divided into three sections: The first section deals with the formations of place in historical news, while the second section presents realistic places and their significance, and the third section sheds light on the descriptive dimensions of places according to Al-Aidarous.
