This study aimed to investigate the impact of scientific verses on the achievement of female students in the fifth scientific grade in the Arabic language subject. To achieve the study's objective, the researcher relied on a partially controlled experimental design for the study groups. The study population included daytime preparatory schools in the Al-Muthanna Governorate / Samawah Center (2024-2025), and the study sample consisted of (84) female students from the fifth scientific grade. The researcher randomly selected two sections, with section (A) having (42) students representing the experimental group, and section (B) also having (42) students representing the control group .
To verify the study's objective and hypotheses, the researcher prepared a achievement test consisting of (30) items (20) multiple-choice and (10) essay questions. The test's validity, reliability, and psychometric properties were confirmed. The experiment was conducted on Sunday, February 16, 2025, and lasted until Tuesday, April 8, 2025. After completing the experiment and statistically processing the data, the results showed that the students in the experimental group who studied Arabic grammar according to the effect of scientific verses outperformed the students in the control group who studied the same material in the achievement test.
In light of the study results, it became clear :
- The effect of verses of knowledge has a significant impact on increasing the linguistic vocabulary of female students; as a result of their use in grammatical skills.
- The verses of knowledge assist female students in writing words and sentences correctly, in addition to their great importance in reading.
In the context of completing the aspects of this study, I propose the following:
- Arabic language teachers should rely on Classical Arabic in their interactions with students, whether during lessons or in daily conversations .
- The provision of more training courses for Arabic language teachers to familiarize them with innovative modern teaching methods and how to benefit from them .
As a continuation of the aspects of this study, the researchers suggest: conducting a similar study to this one on female students in other educational stages, and in other branches of the Arabic language such as spelling, composition, and rhetoric.
