Abstract

    Linguistic studies have gained the attention of researchers due to the significant developments in the field of modern linguistics and the emergence of various schools of thought that approach language with a deeper understanding, attempting to connect language to thought, culture, and human behavior. Furthermore, these studies were not merely weak and theoretical, but were built on scientific and methodological foundations, focusing primarily on the text itself, its producer, and its recipient, regardless of origin, history, and hypotheses. Text linguistics concerns the scientific, descriptive study of the text, adopting a formal approach at times when the focus is on structure, and another approach focusing on content, which we call semantics, meaning, connotation, and the impact of context. Therefore, it can be asserted that these studies are integrative cognitive studies that view the text as a comprehensive, integrated, and non-independent structure. This type of study can be applied to any sound linguistic text. Supplications were one such text, particularly since they are highly eloquent and fluent texts, and their authors possessed the tools and means of language .
