Abstract
The current research aims Identifying the level of academic passion among teachers from the Open College of Education students, and Identifying the level of academic passion in its two fields (compatible-compulsive), and identifying the level of academic passion according to the variable of specialization (scientific-humanities), The statistical sample consisted of (180) male and female teachers from the (scientific-humanities) departments. To achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher adopted the (aldba 2021) scale, as the scale in its final form consisted of (17) paragraphs. After verifying the psychometric properties of the scale, the reliability coefficient reached (0.98) using the split-half method and reached (0.85) using Cronbach’s alpha. After completing the preparation of the research tools, the current research reached the following results:
The results showed a high level of academic passion among teachers from the Open College of Education students, as the calculated T-value was higher than the tabular value, When comparing the arithmetic means and standard deviations, it was found that teachers have more harmonious academic passion than compulsive academic passion, Using the t-test for two independent (non-equal) samples, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in academic passion among teachers according to the variable of specialization (scientific-humanities) in favor of the humanities specialization.
