Abstract
This research explores the life and philosophical-religious thought of the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, emphasizing his critical stance toward religion, particularly Christianity. Researcher Diana Fares Mohammed concludes that Nietzsche sought to transcend what he viewed as the moral and spiritual decay of Christianity by proposing an alternative worldview centered on strength, willpower, and human self-assertion. He admired Islamic civilization and Buddhism more than Christianity. Nietzsche believed religion weakened human vitality and distorted natural instincts, although he did not provide a clear spiritual alternative. His philosophy is marked by a radical critique of all traditional values, with his attack on Christianity considered the most intense in modern intellectual history. Nietzsche’s thought remains influential in contemporary Western philosophy due to its insistence on reevaluating and renewing inherited beliefs and systems.
