Abstract

This research focuses on “Travel in the Poetry of Al-Buhturi.” My choice of this topic stems from two reasons:

The significance of travel in the life of the Arab poet. 1-

. 2-The influence of travel and movement on Al-Buhturi’s  poems.

The research aims to examine the concept of travel in the poetry of Al-Buhturi, a poet who represents a pivotal stage in the evolution of Arabic poetry during what is known as the Golden Age of literature. The study seeks to uncover the motives behind the poet’s travels and movements, as well as their impact on his poetry. It also includes an analysis of select verses in which the poet expressed his emotions and travel experiences, in addition to identifying the features and characteristics of travel poetry in Al-Buhturi’s works.
