Abstract

The current research aims to measure the attitudes of university professors towards the blended education in light of the Corona pandemic at Salahuddin University - Erbil, and to identify the significance of differences in the attitudes of professors according to the gender variable (male - female). The limits of the research are represented by the professors of the faculties of Salahuddin University - Erbil for the academic year (2021-2022), where the two researchers used the descriptive approach to suit it with the objectives of the research. The research sample consisted of (215) teachers at Salahuddin University who did actual teaching during the period of the spread of the Corona virus through the blended education. The two researchers used a scale consisting of (40) items, and the scale was developed as a tool for the current research by looking at studies that dealt with (Abu Sheikh Dam, Awed Al-Amid and Shaded 2020) and e-learning as a study (2020, Basilia & Kavadze). The items correspond to the five-point scale (strongly agree = 5, agree = 4, neutral = 3, disagree = 2, strongly disagree = 1). The scale items were divided into four domains: Continuity of e-learning: This field included (14) items. Obstacles to e-learning: This field included (10) items. Interaction of Teachers with e-learning: This field included (10) items. Interaction of Students with e-learning: This field included (6) items. To ensure the validity of the tool, it was presented to a group of experts and specialists in the field of education, psychology, measurement and evaluation, and after analyzing the opinions of the reviewers, the relative rates for each element were extracted as determined by these experts and arbitrators, as it ranged between (89%-90%) and to find the stability of the tool, the stability rate of the tool is (0.85), and the stability coefficient values for the resolution axes ranged between (0.871) and (0.836). The research data were processed by statistical methods and equations using the social sciences package SPSS. The most important finding of the research is to measure the attitudes of university professors towards the blended education in light of the Corona pandemic. From their point of view, it was average, and their assessment of the field of continuity of blended education, the field of obstacles to using this method, the field of interaction of faculty members with blended education, and the field of teachers in the use of blended education was average. The main reason why some faculty members and students do not use education technology in the electronic process in colleges and schools for several reasons, including their belief that it is useless and for economic reasons and the lack of computers for students to implement the demands of professors and lack of experience and also the lack of cooperation between universities in exchanging experiences to develop e-learning. In the light of the research results, the two researchers put some conclusions, recommendations and suggestions that benefit the current research.
