Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of functional writing among female students in the fourth scientific grade. The study included a sample of (425) female students who were chosen from the fourth grade students in the preparatory schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education of Diwaniyah. and objectivity in the light of an exploratory questionnaire directed to a group of experts and specialists to suggest topics that are suitable for measuring the ability of female students in this variable, and after applying the test to the study sample, and using a set of statistical and computational means; To analyze and process the data, the results of the study were shown; The level of functional writing among fourth grade female students was in the middle level.

Therefore, one of the most important recommendations was to focus on activating this type of writing, which contributes to improving the expressive ability and stimulating it among students, and suggested conducting descriptive studies on a broader level that are complementary to this study and similar to it.
